The Art Deco Medallion

Layer upon layer, the surface of this pendant tells a story in concentric rings — jagged peaks at the outer edge giving way to diamonds, teardrops, a ribbon of tiny perfect circles, and finally a starburst at the centre. The further in you look, the more there is to find.

The geometry is ancient — the kind that appears in temple floors, in kolam drawn at dawn, in things that grow. Worn at the throat, it carries that history lightly.

The oxidised finish darkens the silver into every carved groove, so each line reads with the sharpness of ink on paper. Against skin, it is serious without being solemn. It is the piece people ask about first.
