Ghana Krobo Beads

Every bead on this strand is different. Made using the traditional Krobo powder glass technique — glass ground fine, packed into clay moulds, fired, then hand-painted with geometric patterns, concentric circles, zigzags, dots, and botanical motifs in red, blue, yellow, green, white, and terracotta. No two beads repeat. No two strands are identical.

The scale is generous — these are substantial beads with real weight and presence, the kind that have been traded, gifted, and worn across West Africa for generations. Each one carries its own pattern, its own small world.

Worn as a standalone necklace or used to anchor a layered stack, they bring colour and craft that no manufactured bead can replicate.
